Eurocarve

Taking inspiration from snowboarding, the eurocarve is an incredible looking way of carving on the water. Practice the "falling leaf" exercise to really dial in your eurocarve position.

METHOD

With some toeside speed coming in to the corner

Keep handle strong and use hips to initiate powerslide

Get board round to almost 180 with gentle pressure on your toes

Allow cable to pull you round the corner and keep board fixed in position

Common Problems

common problems:

  1. My back leg gets tired very quickly. This means you have too much weight on your back foot. Try shifting some more on to your front foot for better riding efficiency.

  2. I can't stop wobbling. Stay low, use your legs as "suspension" and try to keep your core engaged whilst riding.

  3. My arms get very tired. Let your arms out a little bit. The handle doesn't need to be right next to your body the whole time.
